If you would like to try Pilates, we are hosting a workshop that focusses specifically on the benefits of Pilates for Men.
The workshop will focus on exercises that will release tension in the musculature working on improving spinal mobility and improve hip flexibility. We will explore the foot muscles and their relationship to tightness in the leg muscles and how to effectively stretch them and discuss the importance of stretching. Attention will be paid to breathing and how this can help us to connect to the 'core '. The importance of shoulder mobility and how some simple corrective exercises can help improve movement in the shoulders.
The workshop is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18th May at 11a.m. at our studio in central Torquay and costs £15.
If you have any existing or recent health issues that you are unsure about, it is advisable to contact your G.P. or therapist on the suitability of starting Pilates. In some cases, it may be beneficial to have a 1 to 1 private lesson prior to joining the group classes.
